The photogenic duo of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds haven’t actually announced an engagement yet, but they’re happily cohabiting in their brand new digs. However, the couple’s new neighbors have no love for the “Gossip Girl” actress and the “Green Lantern” star.
The pair put down a cool $2 million for a ritzy country mansion in Bedford, NY, and recently moved in, but it wasn’t long before the celebrity couple began raising the ire of the others residents of the quiet community.
According to the New York Post, the two have made “over the top” demands to keep the location of their new home private and have been generally unfriendly. This doesn’t sound like a good idea, since the nabes might give the paparazzi directions to Casa Lively-Reynolds out of spite.
Theirs was something of whirlwind romance, since Lively and Reynolds have only been dating for seven months. Previously, Lively had a short dalliance with serial dater Leonardo DiCaprio, while Reynolds was wed to Scarlett Johansson for two years, from 2008 to 2010.
This isn’t the first time the pair has gotten upset over their interactions with the common people. The Post also reported after dining at Richard Gere’s Bedford Post Inn recently, the couple took offense when another couple left at the same time. Reynolds confronted them, asking, “Are you following me?”
Maybe these two need to get over themselves and try to fit into their new neighborhood. After all, they’re not that famous.
